Are you a first quarter person?

Or do you like to finish off the year great in the fourth quarter?

I’ve always been intrigued by those people who say they work better under pressure. Sure I understand that some stress or pressure is needed in life, but I’ve witnessed these same people being total jerks when they were under a year-end goal pressure.

Don’t they realize the long-term impact on their relationships with those that they have to work with?

Is it these same people that will want a favor from the ones they’ve annoyed?

What can be done?

I believe that anyone and everyone can create enough inner pressure in themselves to move towards a goal. Why do I say that? It is because I’ve done this myself.

So how do you apply this inner pressure on yourself?

I believe it is a multi-step process;

  • Look at where you are now.
  • Decide where you want to go (your goal).
  • Brain dump ways or ideas that you can use to move you towards that goal on a piece of paper.
  • Leave this for one hour, then come back and decide on one idea you can implement before the day is over.
  • Continue to add more of the ideas to your arsenal that will keep you moving forward.

When will you do this?
