Are you taking your work home?

What good is that doing for you?

The second question is not a tongue-in-cheek question it is a very serious question. I am very serious about it because when you are taking your work home with you, you are neither given your full attention to the people in your home (namely family), or giving your work the attention that it deserves.

So what do you do?

It is has been my observation that by setting aside 30 to 60 minutes in an appointment with yourself near the end of the day you can clean up any issues or problems and you can leave work feeling refreshed and ready for the next day.

How do you do that? As the great Albert Einstein said “If I had an hour to solve a problem, I’d spend 55 minutes thinking about the problem and 5 minutes thinking about solutions.”

When can you put this into action?
