Are you using the proper form?

Did you know that the key to any strength training program is to build slowly and use the proper form?

Are you saying; ‘I’m not interested in strength training!’ If you are not into strength training maybe just maybe you can use what we know about strength training to improve other areas of your life.

To me ‘proper form’ is all about method or approach in strength training. With the proper approach you will prevent injury, you can target particular muscles and you will use proper breathing techniques.

With strength training it is all about approach. When I write about the ‘proper form’ in other areas of life it could mean the form in anything you are doing. Couldn’t it? You see proper form could mean the way you approach customer service. It could mean the way you approach the day. It could mean the way you approach a person you are not getting along with.

I’ll conclude with a few questions;

  • Is your approach consistent to what you want to accomplish?
  • If it isn’t what is one action you can do to improve it?
