Have you ever heard the line – life is what you make it?

In other words life is all about the actions you take to live it to the fullest, isn’t it?

Thomas Carlyle (Scottish Historian and Essayist, 1795-1881) said “The tragedy of life is not so much what men suffer, but rather what they miss.”  To me this means that when things are tough or challenging it is not the time to sit back and suffer through those challenges. The challenges are opportunities for us learn from them. It is to find the positive growth gem in the tough times.

What is a question you can ask yourself the next time you are challenged?

Better still, what question can you ask yourself that will make you think of how this challenge is a positive growth gem?
