Are all your actions good?
Are there times when your actions are bad?
William Shakespeare wrote; “There’s nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.” As we all know Shakespeare lived in a different era than now, yes he lived in the mid 1500’s to the early 16oo’s. So how is it that some people can try to take a statement that he wrote back in the middle ages and make it part of our lives today?
I ask that questions because we all know of people who are just plain rude. In other words their actions are bad. Let me give you an example. A person you are working with swears like a trooper and tells vulgar stories no matter who is in his presence. Are these actions good or bad? Of course they are bad, and it is not that our thinking makes it so. It has all to do with public decorum. Public decorum is defined as behavior in keeping with good taste and propriety.
What can you do about this?
If someone is rude, vulgar or inappropriate – their actions are bad, what can you do?
It would be classy to talk to them about this in private, wouldn’t it?
