Are you a top-performer or a workaholic?
Do you know the difference?
In my mind a workaholic depends on accolades or praise from others for all the ‘hard’ work they are doing. I also believe that a top-performer knows internally that they are doing the right thing. They understand this because they are self-evaluators.
I once read that workaholics give 110% while top-performers give all they can at the right time – the time when their performance is needed. So in other words top-performers know how to conserve their energy and they know when to take action.
