Are you doing work that excites and motivates you?
If not, why not?
Is it because you’ve got into a rut? Or is it because you’re just concentrating on earning a living? Either way, maybe it is time to shake things up.
Ask yourself this question; ‘If I knew I couldn’t fail, what would I do?’ The answer to that question will tell you what you should be doing with the rest of your life. As the Buddha said, “Your work is to discover your work and then with all your heart to give yourself to it.”
If you have obligation, what would be wrong with starting to do what you really enjoy on a part-time basis or after work? You may find that by doing it on a small scale your motivation for what you do as an obligation will increase and thus you will also be more positive.
Why don’t you try this for 6 months, who knows what it may lead to?
