Are you in sales and marketing?
Are you looking for 4 ways to reduce your stress levels?
Recently CareerCast.com identified the top 10 most stressful jobs for 2013. One of the jobs was public relations executives. These are a very interesting breed of person. First of all they are masters of damage control, thus they are able to think and act quickly under stress. I view public relations executives along with marketing and sales people to be working in the same type of scenario. They all live in the public eye, and their job is centered on being creative or coming up with solutions for others.
In another study this one conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health they found that overtime requirements are increasing. They stated that about 75% of employees are expected to stay late, with limited notice or an opportunity to make the suitable personal preparations. Due to these new expectations, it is normal that public relations executives, marketing and sales people are experiencing increased levels of stress or burnout.
Fortunately, there are ways to lessen the impact these demands have on our lives. These include:
• Recognizing and identifying the sources of your stress
• Tracking your stress levels
• Being aware and managing your emotions
• Making pleasure part of your day
When can you take action on reducing your stress level?
It will help you, won’t it?
