Are you politically correct?

Are there times when you should have objected to something that was happening, but didn’t?

Being politically corrective can hamper our actions, when people need us the most.

In the past two weeks Elie Wiesel died. He was born in Romania and lived in the United States. He was the author of 57 books, including the great work ‘Night’, a work based on his experiences as a Jewish prisoner in the Auschwitz and Buchenwald concentration camps. But he was more than that; he also was a professor, political activist, and Nobel Laureate. Mr. Wiesel once stated; ‘I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.”

The next time you see suffering and humiliation, what are you going to do?

Are you going to support the oppressor, by being quiet?

Or are you going to support the victim by speaking out?

The choice is yours isn’t it?
