Are you thriving or suffering?
Or are you somewhere in between?
Do you know what the common elements of wellbeing are?
According to the Gallup organization they feel that there are five broad categories. They are;
- Career
- Social
- Financial
- Physical, and
- Community
I show this as it is different than what I have believed for many years. I believe that without emotional, intellectual and spiritual well-being your life will be on the scrap heap. I write that because without emotional well-being we are not focused or centered on what is truly important. Without intellectual well-being we are not learning and growing as people. Without spiritual well-being it can very difficult to maintain good mental health. According to Dr. Carl Thoresen of Stanford University; “Mind, body and spirit are in concert to determine health and well-being.”
So my questions to you are;
- What are you doing to improve your emotional well-being?
- What are you doing to improve your intellectual well-being?
- What are you doing to improve your spiritual well-being?
