Do we need to search for life?

Why don’t we focus on making our lives more fulfilling here on earth?

Almost 2 years ago it was announced that a special initiative was created to search for intelligent extraterrestrial life somewhere out in the Universe. It was also announced that it was time to consider a plan for possibly transmitting messages out into space to these extraterrestrial beings.

I smiled when I read the announcement, and I smile even more these days due to the complete chaos surrounding the election of President Trump in the United States. Now don’t get me wrong, I am neither saying that those that voted for him or are protesting about him are not intelligent.

What I am smiling about is that many of those people who are protesting have lost their focus about life. They have taken up a very time consuming exercise for little or no return in the foreseeable future.

They have let the election of one person take over their life.

Isn’t it about time that we brought focus back to all of our lives?

Isn’t it about time that we all focused on making the best of what we have?
