Do you have a plan for your life?
Are you concerned about what you plan for?
I write this blog because over the years it was ‘the thing’ to plan in business. Business owners were told to plan for the number or amount of sales and the gross profit that was needed for it to be a profitable year.
Yes, everyone knows that you need to earn money and have a profit to be a successful business. The biggest challenge for me was that as a business owner, I was not only in business just for the money. You see, whether it was my Father and his business experience or other business owners that I had spoken to, I believe that being a business owner was not just about the money.
Being a business owner for me was all about what I’d become by being the best person I could be. Yes, it was all about how I treated my staff and how I’d help them become the person’s they wanted to become. Was I perfect – absolutely not! Did I learn from my mistakes? That is an affirmative, but many times it took more time than my staff thought. I guess when I think about it for all these years I’ve been ‘coaching’ my staff and myself and I didn’t realize it.
So what is your plan for your life?
Do you want to make a difference in the people you work with and serve?
Have you written down what you want to accomplish?
