Do you know what your strengths are?
Are you concentrating the majority of your day on using these strengths?
Or are you the type of person that has been convinced that you must spend all of your time improving the areas of your life that are your weaknesses? Well I am here to tell you today you must reconsider this. I say that because if you work on things that you aren’t good at or enjoy you will be a frustrated and unhappy person. Of course all of this will lead to more stress in your life. That is something you really want more of, isn’t it?
The book ‘The Truth About You’ by Marcus Buckingham was published in 2008 and by following the exercises in this book you will discover the secret to long-term happiness in life. How can I say that? I was privileged to buy this book a number of years ago. After reading the book and watching the DVD and doing the exercises it made me aware that I needed to evaluate what I was doing and then take action. The results have been a breath of fresh air in my life. I now focus on doing what are my strengths and try to delegate the actions that drain my energy to other people.
While I am not paid to promote this book, please consider looking into it.
If it reduces your stress level and increases your ability to focus on your strengths, what have you got to lose?
