Does life need to be perfect?

What if you could understand how the challenges in your life can make you a better person?

Recently I came across this quote by Roy Rogers (he was an American singer and cowboy actor who was one of the most popular Western stars of his era). He stated; “If there were no valleys of sadness and death, we could never really appreciate the sunshine of happiness on the mountain top.”

I believe we all want a ‘mountain top’ experience, but sadly we don’t want the wandering and rough journey to the top.

I wonder if at times that we have forgotten that this journey of life is not taken alone. There is always someone who can help you, encourage you or support you on your journey. Consider these options;

  • Learn how to connect with people on a deeper personal basis.
  • Learn how to ask for help.
  • Learn to be quiet and listen to the quiet whispers that will inform and lead you to a better future.

What can you do today that will help you move toward that ‘mountain top’ experience?

  1. Well said, Tim. I believe, too, that the dark times shine light on the brighter times. And connecting with other people can make all your times more ‘light’ indeed.
