Growing apart is a phrase used a lot today isn’t it?

Is it that people grew apart or they could not find things that they have in common any more?

No matter what the answer is, it is a sad situation. I say that because to have any relationship come apart or fall apart means that it is not complete.

Are you asking what has that to do with me and my business?

It has everything to do with you and your business, even though it seems to be more related to any type of a couple’s relationship. When people don’t work together for the good of the unit – they are growing apart.

The ‘good of the unit’ in business means to follow an agreed upon mission or vision for the organization.

Is the organization you are part of starting to grow apart? If so, ask yourself these questions;

• What role am I playing in this?
• Am I contributing in any way to it growing apart?
• What can I do to start to bring it back together?
