Have we lost our courage to stand up against wrong? (part 2)
In part 1 of this article, I identified that for over a decade, identity-based Marxism has increasingly become the go-to doctrine or system in places of learning. Yes, Critical Race Theory is becoming the go-to solution without acknowledging that it is based on Marxism.
The following is from an on-line article by Christopher F. Rulo on ‘Critical Race Theory’ (Mr. Rulo has spent a considerable amount of time and effort in research on this particular topic). He wrote the following about how the Seattle Public Schools recently held a training session for teachers in which American schools were deemed guilty of “spirit murder” against black students; “In the most disturbing portion of the session, the teachers discussed “spirit murder,” which, according to Bettina Love, is the concept that American schools “murder the souls of Black children every day through systemic, institutionalized, anti-Black, state-sanctioned violence.” Love, who originated the concept, declares that the education system is “invested in murdering the souls of Black children,” even in the most ostensibly progressive institutions.”
I’ve been fortunate to get access to some of the documentation of these sessions, and you will be surprised at to how it is nothing more that race-based shaming.
Consider this question from the session; ‘Where do these characteristics of white supremacy show up in your life?’ This is a ‘leading question’ and is based on an assumption. And its assumption is based on the fact that the person who created the question believes that everyone is a white supremacist. This is no different than asking a man; ‘How many times did you beat your spouse?’ Even if he has never hit his wife, he has been painted with the abuse label.
The central message of the training session was that white teachers must recognize that they “are assigned considerable power and privilege in our society” because of their “possession of white skin.” Consequently, to atone for their collective guilt, white teachers must be willing to reject their “whiteness” and become dedicated “anti-racist educator[s].”
As you can see critical race supporters believe that racism is an everyday practice, and that a large part of society has no interest in doing away with it because it benefits the elite white people.
What bothers me the most about this whole scenario is that the proponents of ‘Critical Race Theory’ have forgotten what Thomas Sowell stated; “Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it.”
I am also reminded of what American Historian Daniel J. Boorstin said; “The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance – it is the illusion of knowledge.”
If you think we are a bad as what is being promoted, consider the following;
- John Ware was a former slave who settled in Western Canada and gained recognition for his skill as a cowboy. He established two ranches before his death in 1905.
- In 1967, a movie of an interracial marriage engagement “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” won an Academy Award.
- Rosemary Brown was a Canadian politician who was born in Jamaica. She served as a member of British Columbia’s legislative assembly for 14 years and was a candidate for the federal party’s leadership in 1974.
- Lincoln Alexander was a lawyer, was the first black member of the Canadian parliament (in 1968), cabinet minister and war veteran, but he is perhaps best known as the former lieutenant governor of Ontario from 1985 to 1991.
- In 2008 Barack Obama, a black man, was elected president of the United States and then re-elected in 2012.
- A Gallup survey showed acceptance of interracial marriage went from 4% in 1959 to 87% in 2013.
These things don’t happen by accident! They happen because as a whole, people know that no matter the color a person’s skin or their creed, if they are good people, they will get all the recognition and honors that the public can give them.
So, what can you do?
You have to speak up! You have to show your true self – that is the inner courage and resilience that you were born with.
You have to let others know that this ‘Critical Race Theory’ is nothing but a Marxist or Socialist way of controlling the message and controlling people. The free-enterprise system while it may be flawed in some ways has always shown to be the choice of those who wanted to get away from the Marxist and Socialist countries. Yes, every person who comes to North America from Marxist and Socialist countries wanted to get away from the control of their corrupt or dishonorable leaders, thus they immigrated to North America.
How can you show your inner courage and resilience today, with this knowledge?
