Have you noticed that some people are ‘alarmed’ by particular comments?
Does it seem that they are excessively politically correct?
It appears that many of today’s University/College graduates have been indoctrinated into the ‘feelings protection agency’. The ‘feelings protection agency’ is a group of people who are trying to be so politically correct that at times it is almost an impossibility to have an open discussion with them. Let me give you an example.
Recently the comedian Chris Rock was speaking to New York Magazine. He stated that although he started his career tackling very controversial topics with humor at Universities and Colleges, he has decided that he will not perform in any of them again. He stated that the student’s in most colleges are too conservative for his humor to be appreciated. He continued by stating that it is not that they are voting for the Republican’s, it is just that they don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.
Now if you think I enjoy hurting people’s feelings you are wrong. It is just that I don’t appreciate what is happening in our world. For example; how you can have two youth sports teams play a game, but the adults in charge don’t want top keep score because they don’t want to hurt someone’s feelings.
How do you expect these young people to ever function in a world that is based on competition and improvement?
How do you expect that these young people will handle failure if they’ve never experienced it before?
Is this the reason we have so many young people are giving up on life when the going get’s tough?
