How do you receive other’s ideas?
Are you independent or inquisitive about them?
If you are independent of them, you almost brush them off. You don’t look for any small nuggets in other people’s ideas. You are in a rut, and remember the only difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.
If you are inquisitive about other’s ideas you want to find out more about what they are doing or speaking about. How do you do that? You ask them questions, namely open ended questions. That meaning that you don’t want to assume what the reason is for how they came up with the idea, you want to understand their entire thought process so you can use it to your own advantage.
This will make you more receptive to other’s ideas, won’t it?
