How do you want to be identified?
Are you asking, ‘What do you mean by identified?’
Let me explain. To me being identified is the answer to the question; who are you and what significance do you bring to the world. Isn’t that a part of everyone’s DNA, that we want to be significant or special?
The other day I came across this quote by Thomas Merton, he stated; “If you want to identify me, ask me not where I live, or what I like to eat, or how I comb my hair, but ask me what I am living for, in detail, ask me what I think is keeping me from living fully for the thing I want to live for.”
I think this is something we all need to consider. Consider asking yourself these questions;
- What I am living for?
- What is keeping me from living fully for the thing I want to live for?
These questions are all about what drive us as individuals, the things that are really important to us.
Do you think if you were able to answer those questions you would be more focused?
