Is it true that behind every successful person is a great spouse?

Or is it; behind every successful person is a surprised mother-in-law?

No matter what your answer is I believe that there are some important keys to becoming successful. Why can I say that? It is because for over 20 years I’ve interviewed people that have overcome massive challenges ands became successful in their own right.

One of the key characteristics that all of those people shown me is that having objectives is probably more important than goals and plans. You may wonder why that is true. It is because having an objective about the type of person they were due to their actions appears to transform people from being ordinary to being extra-ordinary.

Let me give you a quotation by Winston Churchill from a speech he delivered in 1908. Why I use this example is because Winston Churchill did not become the leader/Prime Minister of the United Kingdom until 1940. This is what he said; “What is the use of living, if it be not to strive for noble causes and to make this muddled world a better place for those who will live in it after we are gone?”

He had an objective 32 years before he became Prime Minister and in the quote you can see that his objective was not to just become Prime Minister. His objective was to “strive for noble causes and to make this muddled world a better place for those who will live”.

Is there any doubt that this drove him to all that he accomplished?

What objective can you set for yourself to drive you to be extra-ordinary?
