What is the best way to job security?

Is it achieved by having the most knowledge or is it being passionate about what you are doing?

There are two camps on this one. Some people will say that the more knowledge you build up in your particular area of work, the better off you’re going to be at job security. Others will say that they would sooner have a person that is passionate about what they do, as they know that no matter what happens the job will always get done.

I believe that if you have too much knowledge about some area it can be a deterrent. This is because if you know all the options and can’t make a decision you are not sure which one is the best way to come up with a solution. It is my belief that if someone is passionate about what they do, they can always find a solution to a problem because they know that anything is possible.
