What is the greatest joy you’ve had?
How did it make you feel?
According to Ralph Waldo Emerson (an American essayist, lecturer, and poet) “Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail.”
Wouldn’t that be a great life?
Can you image the joy you would feel everyday knowing that no matter what happened in your life you didn’t let adversity stand in the way?
How can you do that?
This is achieved by increasing your resiliency level. In my 20 plus years of research I’ve found that the most resilient people have 8 characteristics. These characteristics work when they are used in a particular order or syntax.
By interviewing people like prisoners of war, those abused and those suffering debilitating diseases I was able to identify the characteristics they used to survive. It stands to reason that if these people used these traits or characteristics and overcame challenges, why couldn’t you?
What I’ve learned even more is that resilience is a ability that can be learned.
