What is your greatest fear?
Is it the fear of failure/bankruptcy or the fear of death?
According to Steven Pressfield in his book ‘The War of Art’ the greatest of all fears is that we might succeed beyond our wildest imagination. Now isn’t that an amazing fear? Why is it our greatest fear?
I believe it is our greatest fear because if we succeed beyond our wildest imagination, it will mean that we need to become more responsible in all of our decisions and actions. It will also mean that we will be looked upon closer due to becoming a rather high profile success story.
Some of you may be saying what is wrong with that? Nothing, except two of the curses that have invaded your and my world. These are the curses of minimalism and individualism. Let me explain what these curses mean to me. Minimalism is doing the least that is possible and believing that you can become a great success. Individualism is constantly asking ‘What’s in it for me?’ This individualism is forgetting about others, and when you forget about others, any plans or commitments fall apart.
So the question is what can you do today to overcome the curses of minimalism and individualism to succeed beyond your wildest imagination?
