When does your work day start?
Does it start the time you get to work?
It is my belief that a work day does not start when you get to work for a number of reasons;
1. Many people begin their work day by talking about what they did the night before.
2. Many people aren’t motivated enough to get right at what needs to be done as soon as they get to work.
So when should your work day start? I know that it must start the night before. It starts when you write down what you need to accomplish the next day. For me this means that I outline a number of ‘objectives’ I must meet, the reason ‘why’ I must meet those objectives and then I list the actions I need to take to achieve the objectives.
I believe that stating the reason ‘why’ I need to reach those objectives is the prime motivator for everyone otherwise your list of actions is just a to-do list.
What can you do today to that will help you become more motivated at the beginning of your day?
Do you think that planning the day the night before will make a difference?
