This information comes to you in this saying; ‘People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you understand them and care about their situation.’

You have a built in radar device that advises you when people are not giving you the attention you want. In other words you ‘feel it’ when others aren’t listening and are ignoring your needs or wants.

Are you the only one who has this built in radar? Of course not!

So how do you understand more fully the meaning of another person’s words? Ask more questions and listen for the real meaning. Don’t be afraid to ask follow-up questions. People enjoy telling others ‘their’ story, so give them the opportunity.

What are some questions that will help people open up more to you, so that you can serve them better?
