Are you part of the crowd?

Or are you an individualist that marches to the beat of your own drummer?

As you know there is a big difference in the two.

The reason I bring this up is that many times if you are part of the crowd you could be classified as being average. If you like that, that is fine, although I don’t understand it.

I write that because recently I lead a workshop with a group of people who had a tremendous amount of brain power. That meaning they were well educated and ran good businesses. My problem was that they seemed not interested in taking their organizations to greater heights by doing things that were out of the ordinary.

This causes me to think about how those organizations are going to survive in the future.

Now keeping that in mind, I’ve got a few questions for you;

  • Is your organization invincible?
  • If it isn’t, don’t you think that doing some things out of the ordinary would help propel it to even greater heights?
