Do we sabotage our own success?

Has there been a time in your life that you’ve done something that you wished never happened?

If you answered ‘yes’ to either one of those questions you may have thought that you sabotaged your success. But is that such a bad thing? According to many of my friends I look at life uniquely, so let me expound on my feelings on this.

First of all sabotaging can be a little as a mistake and as large as losing hundreds of thousands of dollars in a business deal. Whether you done the smallest or the largest of my examples, the key thing is that you’ve learned from their mistakes, isn’t it? If you haven’t you are no better than you were before you took the original action.

So what do you do? I would suggest the following 4 step process;
1. Examine what actions you took that caused the problem. Do this in writing and in detail.
2. Decide where the critical error took place.
3. Create a plan on how to avoid that error in future actions.
4. Smile that you have learned from the problem. I stress this because you are unlike many people who do not review the challenges in life.

When can you take action on this process?
