Are there limitations to how you can help your client’s?

I hope you said yes to this question.

The reason I say that is because if you learn anything from this blog post it is – you can’t be everything to everybody.

I remember over 30 years ago when I owned a retail/manufacturing business. For the first 1½ years I thought that I could be everything to everybody. That was the biggest mistake I’d ever made. I tried to get every sale, no matter the cost to our business. What a mistake!

All of a sudden I realized that if this business was going to be successful we had to create a niche market and only work with those people that fit into that market. As soon as we took action on that our business grew very quickly. Over the next 10 years we had 60% increases in sale every year.

What can you do today that will create a uniqueness in your business?
