Are you having some bad days?
Or have you been truly blessed in your life?
It’s all perspective isn’t it?
We’ve all had tough times, haven’t we? Remember though, it is what you do during those tough times that make you the person you are today. If you are not resilient we fold up like cheap tents. Is that the type of life you want to live? How much will it cost you in terms of lost income and lost days?
I recently read an excerpt from the book ODDitude – Finding the Passion for Who You Are and What You Do by the John R. Powers. In the excerpt Mr. Powers writes about his neighbor Carl. He states that Carl’s favorite expression was ‘I have been truly blessed.’ He would state that no matter the situation in his life, when he lost his job and even when his only child died in a car crash.
We all have something to learn from this story don’t we?
John R. Powers died in January of this year at only 67 years of age. To get more insight into this American treasure I urge you to use the link below to enjoy some of his wonderful ideas.
