Are you self-focused?

Or are you focused on the needs of others?

Yes, I know we live in a world that says we must take care of our needs first, but is that really working?

I know that you are a lot like me and everyday you see people with physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Yes, we see people that have trouble getting around. We see people that are not emotionally stable. And we see people that are not centered and internally happy.

But what are you doing about it?

Did you know that Dr. Suzanne Richards at the University of Exeter Medical School in England reviewed 40 studies from over 20 years on the link between volunteering and health? The article finds that volunteering is associated with lower depression, and increased well-being.

Aren’t having lower depression levels and an increased well-being something we all want?

As we approach the New Year with many people focused on resolutions. I have a question for you; what can you do to focus on the needs of others in 2016?
