Do you have any work flaws?

I hope you said ‘yes’ otherwise I’d like to see you walk on water.

In this blog I am going to touch on 4 types of work flaws. They are;

  • The Perfectionist – the person that won’t take action on a project unless everything has been flawlessly prepared.
  • The Non-Starter – won’t take action no matter how much planning has been done in advance.
  • The Stick-in-the-Mud – can’t take action because they get trapped in the ‘mud’ of life and because of that feel overwhelmed and exhausted just thinking about what needs to be done.
  • The Radical – just think about them selves and don’t understand that others could be counting on them.

So what can be done if you have one of these work flaws?

  • For the Perfectionist it is essential that you take immediate action and then correct the problems as you go along.
  • With the Non-Starter you need to add one column to your planning and that is specific times and dates for completion. This will spur you on.
  • For the Stick-in-the- Mud, you need to break down the goal into smaller chunks and then do them one at a time and before too long the project will be done.
  • For the Radical, you need to understand that your actions are important for the people you are working with. In order to do this you need to ask yourself questions like; How much is my inactivity hurting others?

Doesn’t this make sense?
