Do you have the key human virtue that it takes to really succeed?
Do you have the ability to act on limited knowledge?
According to Robert Frost (an American poet) “Courage is the human virtue that counts most – courage to act on limited knowledge and insufficient evidence. That’s all any of us have.” But the question for me is; are your ‘courage’ muscles atrophying or weakening? Have you and I got soft?
Let’s look at this bluntly.
• Are there times in your life that you want something but a barrier comes up and you just quit?
• Are there times that you’ve been working on something for a long time and you say ‘I’ve had enough.’?
If you answered ‘yes’ to either of those questions, it is time for you to get off your back-side and take action. Don’t worry about not having enough information, just take action. The worst thing that can happen is that you are not successful with your first action. So what?
Taking the first action gives you the opportunity to evaluate the situation, learn from it, then put the learning into action with more action.
Do you see how you can increase your courage this way?
