Do you need others approval?

Is there anything wrong with that?

It is my opinion that there are two ways that people sort or analyze things in life. One is with an internal frame of reference. They listen to their ‘gut feelings’. The other way is that they look to others to discover whether something is right or wrong for them. This is an external frame of reference.

So in other words ‘if you need others approval’ your frame of reference is an outside frame of reference. It is neither right nor wrong it is just the way you operate.

A project for you for the next week;

  • Why don’t you observe people by their actions and words then decide whether they analyze things by an internal or external frame of reference?
  • Can you see how they differ from you at times?
