How do you handle life’s challenges?
How do you overcome the negative situations that affect your life?
These situations can range from the loss of a job, a serious illness, the death of a loved one and other traumatic events. These are all examples of very challenging and difficult life experiences.
Most people react to these traumatic circumstances with an abundance of emotions and a true sense of uncertainty. The usual response is; ‘Why me?’
For over 20 years I’ve had the opportunity to interview ordinary people who overcame massive challenges in their lives. These people ranged from prisoners of war to both men and women that had been abused to those that suffered debilitating illnesses or injuries. They have taught me how they overcame these traumatic circumstances.
The amazing thing is that they all followed a particular pattern or sequence in the way they achieved this.
While my goal with these blogs is to inform I don’t have the time to give you all of the details with this blog. I will conclude with a few questions, which are a small hint as to what one of the traits they used to become extra-ordinary human beings.
If you are suffering from a large challenge consider these questions;
- What is your approach to the day look like?
- Is it one where you feel doom and gloom?
- Or is it one where you know there will be challenges but you are prepared to find the gem stone in this trying time?
