Is there a proven path to success?

Is success even possible?

Back some time ago my friend Linda Ferguson of NLP Canada recently posed this question ‘Is there a comfortable, proven way to build success?’ The area of her posting that truly got my attention was this “People who focus entirely on externals don’t have enough awareness of their unconscious processes to teach all of what they do. Their message is both that they “just know” what to say or do and that their process guarantees results. The incongruence is a killer.”

I know that at various times in my life I’ve ignored the unconscious processes that would have lead me to far better results. And there have been times when I’ve listened to the ‘whispers in the silence’ and the results in my life have been transformational.

So why do I bring this up?

A couple of months ago I was given the opportunity to speak to a group of business people in Toronto about the ‘whispers in the silence’. I was encouraged by the comments I received after the speech. This was because the comments focused on how they could use my suggestions.

This is encouraging for more than one reason. It is very easy to start and business and say that you are some sort of a guru. But the truest sign of any type of success is when your ideas and suggestions are usable and help others more towards their type of success.

To conclude I want to ask you a few questions;

  • Have you spent any time in the silence looking for direction in your life this week?
  • What would be the benefit of doing so?
  • When will you find the time to do it?
  • Would asking the question; ‘How can I grow into the life I’ve received?’ help focus you?
