When was the last time you achieved something amazingly successful by yourself?

Has it been a while?

I hope it has been a long time. I state that because it is very hard to achieve success by yourself. We all need to know and understand that in order to be a long-term success we need to work cooperatively with others.

So how do you work cooperatively with others? I know that the first step is to have a high trust level. By this I mean that you can give these people or that person part of the project and you don’t need to be looking over their shoulder and checking everything they do.

If you are a micro-manager letting go of this habit can be very difficult. However if you quit looking over their shoulder and checking everything they do, the confidence level in what they are doing will increase massively.

Isn’t that something you want from anyone you work with?

Or do you prefer to hire incompetent people?
