What’s your inner voice telling you?
Is it helping or hindering you?
Sadly many people have days when that inner voice is doing nothing good for them? Some of the comments are; ‘You are no good.’ Or ‘Why can’t you do better?’
Sadly both of these examples lead to more negativity and possibly reinforcing a past unfortunate experience. That inner voice is speaking to you about your beliefs. The beliefs of whether you can do this or that. For years some people have written about or said that you can get rid of negative beliefs by doing chants or incantations. I am sure it has some effect, but my concern is always long-term.
I write that because many of our negative belief systems have been with us a very long time. So getting them to change over night is next to impossible. But don’t give up, I write this to be brutally honest and to get your attention.
Why am I so blunt about this? It is because if you are depending on someone to make a change for you, it is only the beginning. You also need to take continuous action yourself. In order to do this I would suggest asking yourself these questions;
- How can I reinforce the need to look at life with more optimism?
- What action can I take today to overcome my limiting beliefs?
